#BookReview A Vision Of Angels by Timothy Jay Smith

25 Nov

ImageI donot particularly enjoy thrillers and most often I dont find any to intrigue me to want to pick up one. But from the moment I read the blurb of the book A Vision Of Angels by Timothy Jay Smith I knew this book would be different and it lived up to my expectation and how. This is one book you would pick up when nothing else interests you and trust the book to keep you glued to your seat.

What I liked best about the book was it has a haunting quality about it which takes its own time to unfold. If you have liked the Da Vinci Code this is one book you will absolutely love. There is just so much to know and the thrill just glues you to the book and I actually cringed every time I had to put the book down as this has been one pacy read.

The book revolves around a terrorist attack that has been planned on Easter Sunday In Jerusalem which in turn sets off a series of events that involves an American journalist, an Israeli war hero, a Palestinian farmer and a grocer who is an Arab. At a time when the Middle East occupies the prime focus of all leading newspaper, the book manages to feel the need of the hour and pegs the story appropriately by creating a context.

Pick this book up for a Sunday afternoon read. It leaves you craving for so much more and at the end of it you are left with a sense of loss, which happens when you actually like a book immensely. This has been a must read on my list.
