From the Jacket:
Being UNSTOPPABLE is about believing and achieving. Its about having faith in yourself, your talents and your purpose and, most of all, in Gods great love and His divine plan for your life.
Millions around the world recognize the smiling face and inspirational message of Nick Vujicic, the man born without arms or legs. What most do not know is that in 2010 Nick fell into a place of discouragement and depression as a result of financial and other problems in his organization. Nick needed to re-evaluate his own values and goals and determine again the key factors in living a “ridiculously good life.” After rest and reflection, his enthusiasm and confidence returned.
Nick had realized anew that life rewards action, and often all that’s required for a remarkable result is the smallest act done in faith. It’s the “snowball effect:” Roll a fist-sized snowball down a steep, snow- covered hill and look out! At the bottom will come a rumbling force the size of a boulder. This is the power of faith in action. Each chapter focuses on a specific area of concern drawn from a list of issues brought to Nick’s attention by the thousands who seek his guidance after “meeting him” via speeches, DVDs, and social networking sites that expose him to millions worldwide.
Unstoppable is my first brush with self help cum biography genre of books and thanks to Random House India I finally read this amazing book. The book stands up for sheer determination of one man to change the course of his life based on his sheer grit and determination. It truly is inspirational. When you read this book you realize how our troubles is just a mere wave in the wide ocean and that there are far greater problems which people triumph based on their indominable spirit. The book is a revelation, has a lot to teach without being preachy. If there is something to learn from it, it would be how not to ever give up when the going gets tough because there is so much to live than the challenges that come our way.
My rating would be a 3.5/5 read this book to feel better about life and to be thankful of what you have than what you don’t!
